In a 2020, a National 4-H survey of youth showed that 82% of youth wish America would talk more openly about mental health. With this training and delivery of 4-H mindfulness programming, we have an opportunity as a community to empower and help provide our young people and families with practical tools, skills, and mindful practices to support their mental health and overall well-being!

4-H Mindfulness Programs Facilitator Training opens to 4-H and other ISU Extension staff, current or potential volunteers, and community and school partners.

Training topics include the following:

• Introduction to Mindfulness

• Supporting Research, Evidence, and Benefits of Mindfulness for Youth and Adults

• Principles for Communication, Working with Adolescents, and Resistance

• Mindful Practices
